WORSHIP THE KING

The worship of the one true God in every way can not be overemphasized! It totally aligns with an a comprehension of the glory of God as was discussed yesterday.

I find it very refreshing to have it said that: singing is not worship, but only a tool or a vehicle through which we express that which already flows from our heart. Same with service, prayer, dancing and so on. It’s like a fruit from a tree, which testifies to it connection to nutrition from below and nourishment from above. When these are not present in our personal lives (beyond the corporate or congregational setting) they are indeed pointers to a lack of connection to these nutrition of living water.

In Psalms 22:3 the Bible says “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel”.

In John 4:23
Jesus spoke of the kind of worship that is acceptable before God. He said it must be in sprit and in truth. I reckon this to mean an alignment of all of man’s physiological and metaphysical components all attesting and revering God’s glory.
Spirit: The metaphysical
Truth: Is of the mind, the very core of our heart.
Body: Once our sprit and soul are aligned the body follows, just like a snail to it’s shell (and that what the body actually is).

In Hebrews.5:7
The Bible revels to us why Jesus’ prayers were answered.
“He was heard because of his reverent submission”. This can not be under-played in any worship that is to be accepted. Though, “He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears” it was not the loud cries that made that answers come but the heart where it came from. A heart of “Truth” towards God. The Reverent Submission was the key not the outward demonstration. Many can sing excellently, pray perfectly, dance like David but if the depth of reverence that God expect in truth and a connected sprit, it can’t be an acceptable worship!

Let’s please do our best to live a life of worship. An award winning athelthe once said “when I run I feel the Joy of God”. That I tell you is a snap shot of what a life of worship is like. In all we do we must perceive God and do it in awe of Him.

1Corinthians 10:31
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God".

Thank You
