LET THE EARTH BE SILENT

But the lord is in his holy temple let the earth be silent.

Habakkuk 2:20

Habakkuk was one of the 12 minor prophets in the old testament.Unlike other prophetic books that offer warnings of judgment against corrupt nations, the book of Habakkuk is a compilation of the prophet’s laments

Habakkuk questioned God’s goodness because he saw so much injustice, evil, and tragedy in the world.

looking at our world today where there is so much Injustice, chaos and wickedness. we complain all the time, we criticize people, we criticize leadership, we lose faith unconscious, all those negative energy would have paid off alot if we directed it positively as cries and laments to God. how much do we cry out to God personally?

On matters that hurts you and bothers you

I have felt God’s intervention more in my life more. when I was consistent in communicating with him. directing all the pain I was feeling to him, sometimes with tears and serious laments.

let’s us remember God sees everything that is going on and his timing is perfect, we should not lose focus.

Our job is not to understand how he operates, our job is to trust in him fully and persevere. we should try to grow from a faith of perplexity and doubt to the height of absolute trust in God. that was what Habakkuk was all about.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalms 46:10

God bless us all. Amen!
